    该处于1989年3月组建，3月底正式成立，编制10人，辖18个公路交通检查站，各
站编制7人。 该处隶属青岛市交通局，其职责主要是集中统一执行运政、路政、车辆
购置费等有关方面的检查任务。改变了过去的分散检查局面，减少了检查环节，节省
了检查时间， 方便了行车。该处从成立到年底，共检查各种机动车辆28916车次，查
出违章车辆1516车次，罚款18000多元，补交各种交通规费68209.65元。
