    1988年青岛市辖7区（市南、市北、台东、四方、沧口、黄岛、崂山）、1市（胶
州市[县] ）、4县（即墨、胶南、莱西、平度）。设街道办事处64个，乡88个、镇68
个。1988年11月17日经国务院批准、民政部批复，撤销崂山县，设立崂山区。1988年
1月10日经山东省人民政府批准， 撤销胶州市胶城镇、大庄乡、三官庙乡三个乡镇，
设立阜安、中云、北关、南关四大街道办事处。
