    2008年北京奥运会定于8月8日开幕，24日闭幕。帆船比赛通常在开幕式（北京）后的2～3天开始，
历时15天左右。青岛是北京之外惟一可进行颁奖的分赛场，按照传统，青岛可以举行单独的奥运圣火
点燃仪式、开幕与颁奖仪式。
    2008年北京奥运会帆船比赛下设9个级别、11个项目的比赛。其中，男子4个项目，女子4个项目，
3个“公开级”（男女混合）项目。运动员限额为400名；270条帆船参赛。每个国家每个项目只允许1
条船参赛。
