    8月1日,机场候机楼扩建部分正式投入使用。此次扩建系1985年机场扩建以来,候机楼扩建规模最
大的一次。该工程于1997年10月动工,投资3000余万元,增加面积3400平方米。扩建后的候机楼面积1.4万
平方米,对缓解候机楼紧张状况和改善服务质量起到重要作用。为强化、完善候机楼管理,民航青岛站
候机楼管理公司于12月4日正式成立。
