    1998年,青岛活塞厂与美国辉门公司合资1300万美元的活塞项目正式签约;中英合资农用车、汽车
冲压件项目8万平方米厂房工程完工,正在进行设备装修、保养和产品试产;中日合资静压造型线项目,
厂房建设、设备调试完毕;集装箱工程经扩建、改建,年产量由上年2.4万箱增至3.5万箱。与此同时,积
极探索对海外投资,做了大量前期准备工作。青岛允春机械有限公司拟在巴西建立喷水织布机厂;青岛
蓄电池总厂拟在澳大利亚建蓄电池装配厂。
