    1997年8月8～18日举行。在全市8个活动场所,共组织各类演出55场近千个不同艺术形式的剧(节)目,
有近万名专业和业余演员参加演出,既有全国著名的指挥家、歌唱家、小提琴家、钢琴家的高雅艺术
演出,也有深受青年观众喜爱的通俗音乐的演出。还举办了“青岛摄影家九人作品联展”、“青岛市
优秀少儿书画作品展”、“青岛市牡丹书画精品展”、“中外经典艺术作品书展”等展览。艺术节期
间,各项活动观众达130多万人次,超历届艺术节的观众人数。
