    民主党派、工商联换届以后，市委统战部即成立专门工作班子，着手进行１９９８年全市两级政
协换届人事安排准备工作。经对现届市政协委员调查摸底和推荐新届政协委员人选，提出人事安排初
步方案。省、市政协换届会议召开以后，又对新进委员人选作进一步调整、充实。委员安排，着眼于
近几年涌现出的各方面代表人物，重视安排年富力强、有创新精神的党外人士，尤其是非公有制经济
代表人士。新届市政协委员共５５０人，其中留任委员约３００人，新进委员总数与现届应退委员总
数基本持平。
