    1996年青岛市引进农业新品种、新技术、新产品45项次,种植50.84万亩。从国内
外引进推广了日本雪山菜花和雪秀、雪白山椰等花种, 以及益农3—2正夏阳白菜种、
百利西芹、早丰甘兰、5寸人参胡萝卜等十几个瓜菜良种。
    全年共示范推广大项目44项次,示范田849.56亩次;推广高效立体模式134.48万亩;
推广保护地栽培面积177.86万亩,其中花生地膜覆盖116万亩,占花生播种面积的73.9%;
棉花地膜覆盖4.4万亩,占实收面积的43.9%;推广脱毒甘薯高产栽培技术10万亩。
