    1987年，由于工农业生产的发展和港口管理体制的下放，给港口带来活力，吞吐
量首次突破3000万吨大关，达3070万吨，比上年增长7.6%。
    邮电业务稳步发展。 1987年全市邮电业务总量3176万元，比上年增长12.8%。其
中信函2783万件，增长4.7%；报刊发行216万份，增长1.9%；电报196万份，增长16.7
%； 长途电话299万张，增17.7%。新开辟了与全国部分城市的程控直拨电话，提高了
通讯能力。
