    东明地处冀鲁豫三省交界，自古都是交通要道，商路水陆俱通，北至开州大名，南至商丘、顺天，西至开封府，东到济南
府，方圆千里之商贾汇集于东明，买的卖的，来来往往，车水马龙。所以宋朝时称之为“两都之冲，三路之会”。东明曾一度
成为方圆百里的经济贸易中心。
