    东明县位于黄淮平原，在山东省最西南部，地处北纬34°58′至35°25′,东经114°48′至115°16′之间。东连牡丹区，
东南与曹县搭界，南与河南省兰考县接壤，西、北隔黄河与河南省长垣、濮阳县相望。县境南北最长55公里，东西最宽35公里。
    东明县城距济南市278公里，距菏泽市30公里，距河南省长垣县城35公里，距河南省兰考县城67.5公里，距河南省濮阳市
45公里。
