     1953年6月，东明县邮电局成立。1986年,邮电局实行岗位经济责任制。1988年,开办业务有函件、包裹、特快专递、集邮、
报刊发行、汇兑、储蓄等。1998年,开办邮政广告、邮购、物流、代办电信、保险等新业务。9月邮、电分营。2000～2003年，
宽带网络终端延伸，东明电子通信步入信息化、数字化、多媒体时代，并派生出网通、电信、铁通、移动、联通等多家公司。
