    刘依仁（1850～1921年）字湘渔，东明县人，近代著名书法家。年十五应童子试，以书法工整受提学贺寿慈之知，补博士
弟子员。不久，以廩膳生选取拔贡。朝考不第，越发致力于书法。先法颜柳，继习东坡，勾折纵横，无不得心应手，作品流传
甚广，一时成为杰构,有“字盖八府”之誉。晚年以州判待次河南，馆于道员刘雨田家。清亡后，归家闭门读书习字，不入城市。
