    操时贤（生卒年不详）江西浮梁人，明循吏。进士出身，初任祁门知县，有贤候称誉。因从孝道忧归乡，服阙，补东明知
县。在任期间，兴办教育，造就人才，亲理诉讼，明断如神。对社会舆论主持公道，对奸猾吏役、本地顽凶严惩不怠，人民安
居乐业，社会秩序整然。而他自己艰苦朴素，廉洁自律，清白之名流传乡里，深得拥戴。后病卒于任，县民感悲至极，自发聚
起，将其政绩上报朝廷，批准入名宦祠。
