    鄄城话与普通话很接近，但从音系上看，更接近河南话，属北方方言中原区。鄄城地处偏僻，交通不便，故能保留古音特点，如［V］声母尚存在于老年人读书音中。全县语音基本一致，唯南部与菏泽市接近处略有差异。
    由于鄄城话与普通话音系接近，为方便起见，记音用汉语拼音字母，表音不准确时，用国际音标注明。
