    明、清和民国时期人口  1391年（明洪武二十四年）郓城县共有1753户，12429人。1634年（明崇祯七年）全县共1153户，44864人。1890年（清光绪十六年）全县共60180户，330008人。1909年（清宣统元年）全县共66839户，421697人。1941年（民国30年）全县共99855户，495702人。
    建国后人口  据统计，1949年末，全县共165050户，660415人。据1—4次人口普查，1953年全县168822户，685979人；1964年171566户，662080人；1982年192507户，866101人；1990年7月1日零时，全县总人口为993034人。
