    清末县衙司法机构有巡警总局和典署。巡警总局设总办、帮办、总巡官、总稽查及巡警。典署设典史。知县兼任巡警总局总办和典署典史，并亲自审理民、刑案件。宣统二年（1910年），巡警总局改为警务长公所。
