    1978年，始修石臼所至新乡市铁路，在巨野县境东从获麟集村北入境，经巨野
镇南，西至观集入菏泽市境。巨野县内没夏官屯、巨野镇、田桥、龙固四个火车站。
1980年竣工通车，客货两运。到1990年，货运量年42万吨。客运范围每日往返6次，
西直达新乡、西安，东北直达济南、哈尔滨等地石新铁路巨野站。
