    环境保护，是一项新的事业。巨野县从1979年开始，成立环境保护办公室，隶
属县基本建设委员会领导， 至1982年撤销。1984年4月，设立巨野县城乡建设环境
保护委员会。 1985年11月4日，恢复环境保护办公室。1989年12月，升格为环境保
护局，隶属县政府领导。设局长1人，副局长2人，下设人秘股，管理股，监测站，
收费监理站。1990年底，全局干部职工34人。
