    1928年，国民党进驻巨野县城，县始设建设局，分管交通。1933年，国民党县
政府将建设局改为第四科。1934年，将第四科并入第三科。
    1946年，中共领导的巨野县民主政府，设有建设科，兼管交通。
    1949年9月， 巨野县民主政府先后设有建设科、交通科。19聃年，设工业交通
办公室。1959年设交通局，文化大革命”中，县革命委员会生产指挥部兼管交通。
1972年恢复交通局。1990年，县交通局内，设有秘书股、政工股、业务股、财务股、
路政股、公路建设指挥部；还有县运输公司、交通监理站、27处乡镇运输管理站等。
县交通局所属于部、职工共426人。
    另外，还有归省、地区直辖的公路站、汽车站、联运办公室、火车站、菏泽地
区汽车二队、菏泽地区粮局车队等。
