    在1949年前，巨野县水工建筑物很少。特别是涵、闸工程，基本上是空白。为
数不多的桥梁，均为砖、石、木结构。新中国建立后，特别是60年代后，随着洙赵
新河、万福河两大骨干排水系统的建立，农田灌溉工程的迅速发展，桥、涵、闸工
程建设增加较多。到1990年底，全县主要河道，配有桥、涵、闸4747座。
