    1983年，科委办公室在县革委院内制作了一个聚光式太阳灶，进行烧水烧饭试验，效果良好。同年沼气办研制了箱式0.8平方米太阳灶，20分钟可蒸熟大米和窝窝头。1986年单县能源开发服务公司从济南鲁源太阳能服务部引进“晒式太阳能热水器”6部，1987年从淄博市引进太阳能热水器48部，太阳能的应用尚在逐步推广。
