    新中国成立初，水产事业无专门管理机构。1957年开始，由农业局分管。1959年成立水产局，1962年初撤销，于农业局设水产组。1966年划属林业局。1978年复设水产局，至1984年3月撤销，建立农牧渔业局，下设渔技站。1985年元月，渔技站撤销，建立水产公司，由农业局代管。
