    1981年进行了土壤普查，土地利用结构是：全县总面积1482128亩。其中：农业可利用面积为1299721亩，占87.69%；城镇村庄占用面积为159143亩，占10.74%；工矿占用土地23264亩，占1.57%。
    在1299721亩农业可利用面积中，直接生产用地（耕地）1137797亩，占87.54%；间接生产用地（沟渠路河）160604亩，占12.36%；非生产性土地（荒地）1320亩，占0.10%。利用率为99.90%。
    在1137797亩直接生产用地中，种植业用地1098874亩，占96.58%；林业用地38923亩，占3.42%。
