    1986年，残疾人工作是民政事业的一部分，负责扶助、收养、救济无依无靠的重残人、残疾孤儿、残疾老人及生活困难的残疾人。1989年，相继开展白内障复明、儿麻矫治、聋儿语训三项康复工作。1990年10月，成立成武县残疾人联合会。1991年，开展以宣传《中华人民共和国残疾人保障法》为主题的系列助残活动。2000年，设立残疾人就业服务社。至2005年底，全县残疾人2.147万人。
