    天主教于清末传入曹县并建起教堂，归菏泽总堂司铎管辖。清光绪二十二年(18
96)，该堂为大刀会烧毁，清光绪二十六年重建。以后又建青集、常乐集、郭堂三
处天主教堂。1940年，县城沦陷，很多人借助德国神父的权势，以避日军的欺凌，天
主教教友大增。“文化大革命”中，该教停止活动。1978年后活动恢复。
