    曹县矿产资源主要有煤炭、石油、天然气和粘土。据初步勘探其储量分别是：煤
炭27.62亿吨，石油18亿吨，天然气134亿立方米，粘土6.67亿立方米。另外，县内还
产有小盐、芒硝、火硝、火碱等，均是土法生产。小盐含硝石，味苦，须经提练 (名
提硝盐) 始堪食用，抗日期间远销各地。芒硝出产量大，可熟皮革，也可精制成“元
明粉”供药用。
