    清光绪三十年(1904)前，曹县文化教育由礼房和县学教谕协助知县掌管。
    光绪三十一年设劝学所，掌管文化教育。
    1923年劝学所改称教育局，1933年改为教育科。1940年8月曹县抗日县政府设教
育科，1949年改称文教科，主管教育、文化。建国后，1956年分设文化科，主管全县
文化工作。1962年5月，文化科、教育科再次合并为文教科。“文化大革命”前期，
设立县革命委员会政治部文化组，1975年6月重设文教局。1983年3月设立文化局，管
理全县文化工作。
