    1991年成立菏泽市博物馆，与市文物保护管理所(1989年成立)合署办公，馆
舍面积1000平方米， 设业务室、宣教室、保卫室。馆藏文物1000余件，其中1级
文物1件， 2级文物11件，3级文物77件。博物馆除每年牡丹花会期间定期举办书
画、文物展外，还多次举办历史文物展、古代书画展、古钱币、烟标专题展等。
2000年，博物馆全部藏品及全体人员上划菏泽地区博物馆。
