    刻字行业由来已久，建国前菏泽城里就有七八家刻字铺，比较有名的有
范文轩（河南人）的刻字铺。1946年，河南人郭德成来菏创办了第一家修表
店，以后通过收徒传艺，修表店发展到三、四家。1955年，各家私营店铺联
合成立了修表社和刻字社。1972年正式成立了菏泽县钟表刻字厂。从业人员
由当初的20余人发展到1986年的45人。全厂年产值由五六万元增加到20万元，
利润近2万元。
