    【人口】据公安人口年报资料，2009年年末全区总户数258306户，总人口877124人（不含马厂湖
镇，以下同）。出生人口9441人，人口出生率10.76‰；死亡人口2234人，人口死亡率2.55‰；人
口自然增长率8.21‰。总人口中，男性447219人，女性429905人，人口性别比104∶100。



    【民族】2009年，全区除汉族外，有回、蒙古、藏、维吾尔、苗、壮、布依、朝鲜、满、侗、瑶、
白等共27个少数民族。少数民族总人口6094人，其中回族5324人。
