    实施教育优先发展战略，不断加大教育投入，学校的软硬件建设进一步完善，教学质量逐年攀升，
中心中学和中心小学通过省级规范化学校验收。全镇有中学1处，小学3处，幼儿园15处，教职工325
名。在校生共计3500余人，适龄儿童入学率100%，高中入学率30%。

    全镇共有农业专业技术人才500余名，工业科技人才200多名，实施科研项目20多项。

    镇卫生院1处，卫生服务站21处，床位120张，医生95人。大力推广新型农民合作医疗工作，农民
参合率达到92%，为群众报销医疗费60余万元。
