    5月  为期一年的林木确权发证工作结束。全县共发证56457张，54679户，占全县总农户的61.5%。
    6月11日  冰雹、大风袭击玉山、青云两区，毁房3540间。
    6月  傅恩恕任县委副书记，张贵贤任县长。
    7月1日－15日  县内进行第二次人口普查登记。全县共有86400户，376200人。
    8月14日  县公安机关破获重大反革命集团案－－岌山区东、西郭疃“农民起义军”案。参与这个集团的有临沭、郯城、东海三县的48名罪犯。
    9月  山东省柳子剧团到临沭演出。
    10月  临沭县派出240人的工作队去临沂县汤河区参加“四清”（清政治、清经济、清组织、清思想）。至1965年返回。
