    1976年10月，县革委办公室成立信访组，1979年12月，县革委办公室改信访组为信访科，同时成立县委办公室信访科(副科级)，1981年3月，县革委信访科更名为县政府信访科，1984年6月，县委信访科与县政府信访科合并改称县来信来访办公室(副科级)，1985年9月，升格为局级单位，称中共临沭县委、临沭县人民政府信访局。
    1986年－2007年，到县上访总量8605起，其中集体上访744起，共受理人民群众来信9721件。
