    临沭县境内的河道治理主要是沭河和新沭河治理。重点工程－－沂沭河洪水东调工程，是导沭整沂工程（见1993年版《临沭县志》）的扩大和继续，即将分沂入沭水道扩大到4000立方米/秒，新沭河扩大到6000立方米/秒。工程组织由山东省沂沭河洪水东调指挥部负责，临沭县相应成立沂沭河洪水东调指挥部治理沭河，属于跨流域治理工程。县内其他河道治理主要有牛腿沟和苍源河整治工程。
