    境内宗教共有五种。道教、佛教于唐代传入。明末清初,伊期兰教开始活动。清末又有基督教、天主教传入。建国初期,宗教信仰和正常的宗教活动受到保护和重视。“文化大革命”期间,宗教活动被禁止。中共十一届三中全会后,逐步落实了宗教政策,恢复了宗教活动。1984年,县政府设立民族宗教事务科,1988年设立县民族宗教办公室,进一步贯彻了党的宗教政策,调动了宗教人员参加社会主义革命和建设的积极性。
