    1952年，县财政科始设监察员。1954年组织检查了县医院、孟良崮完小等13个单位，查出孟良崮完小超支预算1417元，县医院等单位假造报销单据170张，计款3944元；个别会计私改提款支票和顶假单据，贪污65元。1979年财税局内设监察股。1983年财税分开时，监察股划归税务局。1984年，财政局内设监察股，1988年撤销。1989年再设监察室。是年，对全县28个乡镇财政所执行财政法规情况进行了检查，因平时加强了政治思想教育，是年没有违法违纪现象。
