    费县政区历史上变化较大，人口变化的几个数据亦不可比。至1956年疆域始成现状。人口的变化亦从此年写起。

    30年中，人口的自然变化曾出现过三种情况：①低出生、高死亡、低增长：这一段为1958～1960年，出生率为19～22‰，死亡率为22～24‰，增长率为-5～9‰；②高出生、低死亡、高增长：这一段为1962～1963年，出生率为43～55‰，死亡率为10～11‰，增长率为33～44‰；③低出生、低死亡、低增长：这一段为1978～1985年，出生率为15～20‰，死亡率5‰左右，增长率为9～15‰。
