    从1962年开始，监理人员及时上路检查，严禁在公路上打场、晒粮、摆摊贸易、堆放物料，检查车辆，查找不安全因素。
    鉴于以往发生的事故多数是由于车辆在县城超速行驶所造成，特别是逢集这天，更易发生车祸。监理人员每天分两个组进行路检，逢集时特别加强城内街道及温河大桥的路检路查，还派出流动哨随时检查。1985年第三季度开始进行夜间检查。下半年事故下降50%。
    1985年共检查车辆10720辆，纠正违章驾驶3600起，罚款4347元。
