    传统收割工具，主要有镰刀、砍镢（镢镰子）。1960年全县有镰刀149188把，每个农户平均1.33把。场间晾晒脱粒用的工具，有木杈、木掀、扫帚、碌碡、木耙、筛子、簸箕、筦子、推板。切地瓜干用板刀。
    50年代末改良引进收割工具。1960年全县有马拉收割机145部，其中摇臂收割机44部，太谷号收割机40部；脱谷机37部，玉米脱粒机189部；地瓜收获犁192部，地瓜切片机2394部，花生脱皮机83部。
    1985年，全县有机引收割机4部，联合收割机1部，脱粒机955部，扬场机72部。
