    旧《费县志》称邑民“守耕读”、“急赋税”，“婚姻不论财帛之多寡，设教不计束之厚薄”。迄今，虽历经沧桑，而勤劳朴实，淳厚善良,崇尚礼仪，乐于奉献，团结互助，注重乡情之传统美德尚存。但安于现状，不求进取；以农为本，不善经商等意识，长期禁锢了人们的思想。然而随着改革开放的不断深入，政治、经济、文化的不断交流，人人择善而从，旧思想、旧道德、旧习俗正逐步被摈弃，民风民情为之一新。
