    保太镇位于平邑县城以北 5公里处，东与蒙山管委会柏林镇接壤、西临仲村镇。境内文泗公路横穿东西，平汶路
纵贯南北，交通便利。全镇辖 48个村（居），面积 117.4平方公里，总人口7.8万人，常住人口 5290人。2014年，
全镇实现工农业总产值 36.8亿元，地方公共财政收入 2310万元，农民人均纯收入10627元。
