    1905年（清光绪三十一年）11月，县设巡警局。局设巡官1人，教弁1人，巡警20人。巡警局在县城东门、西门、南门、东关、北道沟、西关分设六岗，由巡警轮守。1907年2月，金世颐任巡官。4月，知县兼任巡官，金世颐改任副巡官。1908年10月，知县改兼任警务长，改副巡官为区官，教弁为巡官。1912年后赵家璨、公汇东、郑家璋、李凤藻、孔庆绰等先后任区官和巡官。1927年巡警局改称警察所，郭占元任所长。
