    清末，蒙阴地方政府称县署，设知县、典史、教谕、训导、汛官、把总、千总。下辖：吏、户、礼、兵、刑、工六房，另设仓库、库房，分别掌管职官、财务、文教、缉捕、诉讼、建设、仓储、现金保管等事宜；还有壮班、皂班、快班和捕班，构成县署的职能部门。另外，各知县都有随同自已去的幕宾、家丁，组成一套属于知县自己的办事机构。
