    本县农村保险业务于1951年开始，县人民银行设保险股承办保险业务。1952年4月，成立蒙阴县保险公司，设秘书、会计、业务3个股。1954年夏，公司撤销。1980年10月，恢复保险业务，由人民银行代办。1984年7月，再次成立蒙阴县保险公司，接管人民银行保险业务。设人事秘书、防灾理赔、保险业务、计划财务4个股。1987年末，共有人员25人。
