　　2000年第五次全国人口普查，全县总人口1116516人，0～14岁人口255573人，占总人口
数的22.89%，15～64岁的人口770168人，占68.98%；65岁及以上的人口为85998人，占8.13%。
同1990年相比，0～14岁的人口比重下降了7.93个百分点，65岁及以上的人口比重上升了2.83
个百分点。2008年，全县总人口1118531人，0～18岁人口189371人，占总人口数的16.93%；
18～35岁人口331431人，占29.63%；35～60岁人口438422人，占39.19%；60岁以上人口
159307人，占14.24%。
