　　2001年12月10日，胶新铁路沂水段正式动工。该段全长9.26公里，总投资1.5亿元，大小
桥涵共35座，其中长1306米的黄花河特大桥1座，560米的泊罗河大桥1座。胶新铁路在沂水段
共征地43.08公顷，拆迁房屋7050平方米。2002年10月27日，胶新铁路沂水段正式开始铺轨。
翌年1月，沂水火车站站房在沂水县四十里堡镇小薛庄村开始动工建设。2月，胶新铁路沂水
段铺轨完毕，5月20日，全线铺轨完毕。10月，沂水火车站站房建成使用。站房共5800平方米
，候车室3115平方米，可容纳800人。12月20日，胶新铁路正式运行。
