    50年代初，县内仅有两个季节性建筑队。1956年1月，莒南县建筑队建立，招收
泥瓦工、木工100余人。1976年，县内16处人民公社相继建立建筑队。1984年后，建
筑队伍迅速发展。到1993年，全县共有县营建筑安装工程集团总公司1处，建筑安装
工程公司1处，乡(镇)建筑企业24个，从业人员5238人；村建筑企业17个，从业人员
3026人。建筑队伍中有工程师15人，助理工程师184人，各类技术人员712人。
