    县内鱼类资源较丰富，共有鱼类47种，分属5目12科，主要有鲤、鲫、鲢、虾、鳖、
螃蟹等。新中国成立前，无人工养殖。1949年，鱼捕捞量约4万斤。新中国成立后，
先后建起一批大、中、小型水库和塘坝，水面扩大，为发展渔业生产创造了条件。1
959年，建立县水产局，具体管理渔业生产。1988年，全县淡水鱼产量132万公斤。1
993年，全县淡水鱼产量227万公斤。
