    苍山县从1982年起至1996年，共计发生赔款案件31494起，支付赔款3865万元。其中，1987年6月30日，全县有9个乡镇遭受龙卷风和冰雹袭击，最大风力11级，龙卷风、暴雨持续半小时，下冰雹8分钟。受灾地区房屋倒塌、青苗毁坏、树木折断、电杆刮倒、路线中断，使160个村庄25500户农民受灾，倒塌房屋152间，损坏房屋3460间，伤亡29人，农田受灾面积14万亩，损坏瓜菜5300亩，果园900亩，损坏树木19.3万棵，直接经济损失1500多万元，总计赔款38.3万元。1993年8月5日，苍山县遭受罕见的暴雨洪水袭击，受灾严重。参加保险就有78家企业、18个乡镇、2076户居民的4249间房屋受损，支付保险赔款240万元。
